What am I doing again?

It seems obvious but the above statement was what I said out loud to my friends when I first new I had dementia. I was out fishing on a boat with friends off of a wreck in Lyme Regis in Dorset. We had been fishing for about 4 hours and with this type of fishing it’s very systematic and you don;t have to think about it much. You basically let your lure down, the skipper starts the troll over the wreck where you then have to wind up the lure 15 turns of the handle or it will snag – this process is called a ‘drift’ and you do many ‘drifts’ in a day.

After the thirst drift i apparently whilst doing my 15 winds up put my fishing rod down and said:

What am I doing again?

Towards the end of the trip after about 8hrs solid of fishing (when I was probably tired) I did it one more time, so I think this is surely a sign of mild Dementia creeping in to my daily life.
